Please note: Paypal processes all of the transactions on VisionFunder. No one sees your credit card information besides Paypal, not even us.
We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. As part of your participation in the Services, we may send you email. We will send you email relating to your personal transactions. We will keep these emails to a minimum. You will also receive certain email notifications (forwarded messages, etc.), for which you may opt-out. We may send you service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.
Technology / Security
VisionFunder may obtain IP addresses from users. We will use this information to monitor and prevent fraud, diagnose problems, and (anonymously) estimate demographic information. We use a variety of security measures, including encryption and authentication tools, to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information. Your personal information is stored behind firewalls and is only accessible by a limited number of people who are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders we use a secure server.
Internet browsers will allow you to erase cookies from your computer hard drive, block acceptance of cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. You should refer to your browser instructions or "Help" screen to learn more about how to manage cookies. Please note, however, that if you block cookies, some portions of the VisionFunder Services may not function properly.
To the extent you select the secure server method and your browser supports such functionality, all credit card information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Regardless of these efforts by us, no data transmission over the public Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Any personal information or content that you voluntarily disclose in public areas becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by other users. You should exercise caution before disclosing your personal information via these public venues.
By entering into our User Agreement, VisionFunder Project Creators agree to not abuse other users' personal information. Abuse is defined as using personal information for any purpose other than those explicitly specified in the Project Creator’s Project, or is not related to fulfilling delivery of a product or service explicitly specified in the Project Creator’s Project. VisionFunder Project Creators never receive users' credit card information.
How we use and share the information that we collect from you

However, if you want to stop receiving e-mail from us, you can "opt out" of receiving it by following the unsubscribe instructions listed in each e-mail.
So, long as you give your consent, we may also share your personal information with certain marketing partners to bring you products and services you may be interested in. In addition, we sometimes share general, demographic, or aggregated (not personal) information with third parties about our user base, but that information does not include any personal information.
You will be deemed to have consented to the disclosure to, and use by, a subsequent owner or operator of the Sites, of any personal information contained in the VisionFunder database for such site, if VisionFunder assigns all of its rights and obligations regarding the use of your personal information at the time of a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, sale of all or substantially all of VisionFunder ’ assets to a subsequent owner or operator, or similar event
